Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald is accused of assaulting a man earlier in April, according to Andy Sheehan of KDKA.

De'Vincent Spriggs says that Donald assaulted him on April 11 between 3-4 a.m and intends to file charges with Pittsburgh police, his lawyer, Todd Hollis, told Sheehan.

Hollis provided a photo of Spriggs, who appears to have a swollen right eye and several cuts on his face.

"We are aware of the reports regarding Aaron Donald," the Rams said in a statement Wednesday, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk. "We are collecting more information and will have no further comment at this time."

Donald is the NFL's reigning Defensive Player of the Year, taking home the award after racking up 13.5 sacks. The veteran also earned the honor in 2017 and 2018.

The 29-year-old grew up in Pittsburgh and attended the University of Pittsburgh before being drafted by the Rams in 2014.
