The Philadelphia Eagles could trade tight end Zach Ertz in the coming days after fielding interest from a number of teams, sources told NFL Network's Michael Silver.

Ertz and the Eagles are widely expected to part ways following their eighth season together. The three-time Pro Bowler is looking for a new contract but Philadelphia is more likely to commit big money to Dallas Goedert, who's younger and going into the final year of his rookie contract.

The veteran tight end has been a staple of the Eagles' offense throughout his career, catching at least 74 passes five times and eclipsing 700 yards in all but two campaigns. The 30-year-old was hindered by an ankle injury in 2020, leading to a decline in production.

Philadelphia has already agreed to one high-profile trade in advance of the new league year, sending quarterback Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts for a pair of draft picks.

It's unclear which teams have shown interest in acquiring Ertz, who won Super Bowl LII with Philadelphia.
