Head coach Nick Sirianni has started to put together his new staff in Philadelphia - and he's bringing someone he's familiar with as his defensive coordinator.

The Eagles have agreed to terms with Indianapolis Colts defensive backs coach Jonathan Gannon to fill in their vacant DC position, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Gannon also recently had defensive coordinator interviews with the Los Angeles Chargers and Chicago Bears.

The Ohio native has logged nine seasons of NFL coaching experience, working with the Tennessee Titans (2012-13), Minnesota Vikings (2014-17), and Colts (2018-20).

Sirianni - who Philadelphia hired as its head coach earlier this week - worked with Gannon over the past three seasons in Indianapolis.

Gannon is now set to replace Jim Schwartz, who recently parted ways with the Eagles after five seasons as their defensive coordinator.

Philadelphia's defense ranked 19th in yards and 20th in points in 2020.

The Eagles have also agreed to terms with Colts assistant Kevin Patullo for their new offensive pass game coordinator position, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
