Bills' Stills eligible to play vs. Chiefs after being elevated to main roster
The Buffalo Bills have elevated wide receiver Kenny Stills from the practice squad, making him eligible to play in Sunday's AFC championship game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Buffalo signed Stills in early January after the Houston Texans cut him, and Sunday could mark his first time being active as a member of the team.
The veteran wideout had fallen out of favor in Houston, putting up just 144 receiving yards this campaign. Stills has recorded 310 receptions and 4,843 receiving yards over his career.
Stills' promotion to the main roster may be insurance for a Bills receiving group that has dealt with numerous injuries recently. Rookie receiver Gabriel Davis was listed as questionable for Sunday's tilt due to an ankle injury. Buffalo sidelined Davis for the first two days of practice before he participated in a limited capacity Friday.
The Bills also promoted cornerback Dane Jackson from the practice squad. The first-year player has spent time on the main roster this season, notching one interception and five passes defensed.
