Texans place David Johnson on COVID-19 list
The Houston Texans placed running back David Johnson on the team's reserve/COVID-19 list Friday.
Johnson missed Thursday's practice due to a personal issue. Whether the matter is related to Johnson landing on the COVID-19 list remains unclear.
The 28-year-old returned to Houston's lineup in Week 13 after missing three games due to a concussion and tallied 44 yards with a rushing touchdown against the Indianapolis Colts.
Johnson has rushed for 452 yards and four touchdowns through nine games this season while adding 16 receptions for 161 yards and a score.
The Texans also received some positive news when rusher Duke Johnson was upgraded to a full participant in Friday’s practice, according to Aaron Wilson of Houston Chronicle. The Miami alum is expected to see an increased role Sunday if David Johnson is unavailable.
