Following a weekend in which Denver lost all four quarterbacks on its roster due to COVID-19 protocols, the Broncos are signing Kyle Shurmur, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

He'll have to pass through the league's virus protocols before joining the roster.

Shurmur is the son of Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.

A four-year starter at Vanderbilt, Shurmur went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent and spent time on the team's practice squad during its Super Bowl season, but was waived in April.

Shurmur finished his college career as the all-time passing leader in Vanderbilt history.
