The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to sign cornerback DeAndre Baker to their practice squad, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports.
The former New York Giants defender is scheduled to meet with the Chiefs on Wednesday morning, according to Paul Schwartz of the New York Post.
Baker was placed on the commissioner's exempt list in July after he was accused of armed robbery in May, and the Giants waived him. All the charges against him were dropped on Monday.
Though Baker is now free to sign with any club, he may still face league discipline for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
New York selected the defensive back 30th in the 2019 NFL Draft. He played in all 16 games last year with the Giants, recording eight passes defensed.
