The Houston Texans have placed running back David Johnson on injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.

Houston also placed linebacker Dylan Cole on the reserve list. Both players will miss a minimum of three games as a result.

Johnson was ruled out of the team's Week 10 matchup against the Cleveland Browns after leaving last week's contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a concussion.

The 28-year-old is playing in his first campaign with the Texans after being traded by the Arizona Cardinals in March.

Johnson has rushed for 408 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 16 receptions for 161 yards and a touchdown through eight games this season.

Duke Johnson is expected to see an increase in playing time for the Texans. Buddy Howell and C.J. Prosise could also serve bigger roles.
