Baker Mayfield is set to rejoin the Cleveland Browns after being activated from the COVID-19 list.

The quarterback was placed on the reserve list during the Browns' bye week after being in close contact with an infected staff member, according to ESPN's Jake Trotter.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski seemed confident that Mayfield would elevate his game as the Browns look to make a run down the stretch.

"I think he's ready to ascend," Stefanski said, according to Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer.

The signal-caller has thrown 15 touchdown passes and seven interceptions this season, helping Cleveland to its 5-3 record while putting the team in a position for a playoff push.

The Browns are looking to make their first postseason appearance since 2002 and are scheduled to take on the Houston Texans in Week 10.
