Goff hopes Rams can continue Los Angeles' title streak
Los Angeles is currently the City of Champions.
After the Lakers' NBA Finals triumph earlier in October and the Dodgers' World Series victory on Tuesday night, one of the NFL's teams in L.A. is hoping to continue the city's streak.
"It's something that's really exciting for the city right now," Rams quarterback Jared Goff said Tuesday, according to NFL.com's Grant Gordon. "It'd be good to make that a little three-peat with us involved there. It's definitely something that we're conscious of, absolutely."
The Rams are just one year removed from their last appearance in a Super Bowl, and they're off to a 5-2 start in 2020.
"We've got all the pieces. We're winning games. We are playing well, on offense, defense, special teams," Goff said. "We always believe in ourselves and we've been there once with a lot of the same people. We know how to get there. We've just got to finish it off and hopefully this is the year."
If the Rams can't get the job done, the Chargers could also bring another championship to Los Angeles. However, they'll need to overcome a 2-4 start.
