The injury woes continue for the San Francisco 49ers.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan has revealed running back Jeff Wilson Jr. will head to injured reserve due to an ankle injury while receiver Deebo Samuel's hamstring issue will force him to miss this Sunday's game and potentially the following week's matchup, according to ESPN's Nick Wagoner.

Both players were injured during the team's Week 7 contest against the New England Patriots and didn't return.

Wilson was in the midst of a dominant performance against the Patriots, rushing for 112 yards and three scores, before he injured his ankle on his third touchdown. The tailback managed to make it to the sideline but needed a cart to get to the locker room.

Wilson joins rushers Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert on IR but Shanahan notes Coleman may return this week, according to The Athletic's Matt Barrows.

Samuel's hamstring injury is just the latest ailment he has battled this season after also missing the first month of the season due to a broken foot.

The 49ers will take on the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday and then have a short week to prepare for the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football in Week 9.
