Running back Le'Veon Bell intends to sign with either the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, or Buffalo Bills and could make his decision as early as Thursday, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Bell was released by the New York Jets on Tuesday, bringing an end to his tumultuous tenure after 17 games.

The Dolphins, Bills, and Chiefs, incidentally, represent the Jets' next three opponents. However, Bell wouldn't be able to play for the Dolphins on Sunday because COVID-19 protocols require five days of preliminary testing.

Bell appeared in only two games for the Jets this season, missing three others with a hamstring injury. The two-time All-Pro rushed for 74 yards on 19 carries and had three receptions for 39 yards.

From 2013-17 with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bell topped 1,800 total yards three times and earned three Pro Bowl selections.

The Jets still owe Bell roughly $6 million for the remainder of the season. The team can subtract whatever Bell signs for from its $6-million figure.
