An MRI confirmed that Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson suffered a minor knee sprain and all of his ligaments are intact, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Carson could be ready for Seattle's Week 4 game against the Miami Dolphins, Pelissero adds.

The tailback exited Sunday's contest against the Dallas Cowboys after being hurt on a fourth-quarter play when defensive tackle Trysten Hill appeared to twist his leg.

Carson has accumulated 157 rushing yards this season, adding three receiving touchdowns. He racked up 64 yards on 14 carries against Dallas before suffering the injury.

Carlos Hyde and Travis Homer would carry the load at running back for Seattle if Carson misses time.

Hill will likely be fined but not suspended for twisting Carson's leg, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The Seahawks might also have Jamal Adams on the field next week. Head coach Pete Carroll told reporters Monday the safety suffered a first-degree groin strain and is considered day-to-day after being forced out of the Cowboys game, according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

Additionally, first-round linebacker Jordyn Brooks has an MCL sprain and will likely miss a couple of weeks, a source told Pelissero.
