Washington Football Team right guard Brandon Scherff is expected to miss three-to-five weeks after suffering an MCL sprain Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Scherff had to be helped off the field during the second quarter of Sunday's loss to the Cardinals and didn't return.
The three-time Pro Bowler missed five games last season and eight in 2018. He's totaled 68 starts since Washington drafted him fifth overall in 2015.
Scherff is currently playing under the franchise tag after failing to ink a long-term extension with Washington during the offseason.
The 28-year-old has allowed four pressures and one sack while not committing any penalties through 99 snaps in 2020.
