The NFLPA told players Friday that 12 rookies have tested positive for COVID-19, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Those positive tests are from the nine teams that have received results from their initial round of screening, Pelissero adds. The NFL plans to isolate those players.
Rookies were scheduled to start reporting to training camp Tuesday. They will be tested twice for COVID-19 and need two negative results before being allowed to join the practice facility.
The players' association announced Tuesday that 59 NFLers have tested positive for COVID-19.
