The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived wide receiver Marqise Lee after six seasons with the franchise, the team announced Monday.
Selected 39th overall by the Jaguars in the 2014 NFL Draft, Lee was productive early in his pro career but has battled knee injuries for the majority of the last two years. He missed the entire 2018 campaign with a torn ACL and played in just six games last season before landing on injured reserve.
The 28-year-old was stuck behind a number of young wideouts on the Jaguars' depth chart, including DJ Chark, Chris Conley, Dede Westbrook, and Keelan Cole.
Jacksonville will save $4.8 million against the cap by cutting Lee, according to Over the Cap.
