Following the ratification of a new collective bargaining agreement, the NFL informed teams that the salary cap for the 2020 season will be $198.2 million, sources told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
It was previously reported that the cap could rise to $200 million or more.
As we've been saying, players' share of revenue spikes from 47% to 48% starting in 2021 and the salary cap will spike accordingly.

The cap is increasing $10 million from last season. It's the seventh straight year that it has jumped by at least that much.

While the salary cap has been set, it remains to be seen whether teams will be free to spend their money as currently scheduled. The NFL and NFLPA are apparently discussing whether to delay the new league year and the start of free agency amid the coronavirus pandemic.
