With nearly two weeks remaining until the franchise tag deadline, a number of NFL teams appear set to use the designation.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to tag pass-rusher Bud Dupree, the Washington Redskins are likely to tag guard Brandon Scherff, and the Baltimore Ravens plan to use the tag on outside linebacker Matthew Judon, league sources told ESPN's Jenna Laine.

Laine also reiterated earlier reports that Dak Prescott, Chris Jones, Justin Simmons, Shaq Barrett, and Hunter Henry are also likely to be tagged.

Dupree and Judon both terrorized their AFC North opponents in 2019, setting career highs with 11.5 and 9.5 sacks, respectively. Previous reports indicated that Baltimore's key pass-rusher could be a tag-and-trade candidate this offseason.

Scherff, meanwhile, was the most consistent piece on a struggling Redskins offensive line last season. He was named to the Pro Bowl in three of the last four years after Washington selected him in the first round of the 2015 draft.

Teams have until March 12 to apply the franchise tag.
