Adam Gase's seat just got a whole lot cooler.

New York Jets owner Christopher Johnson told reporters Wednesday that his team will not make a change at head coach before the 2020 campaign, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic.

Johnson added that he told the entire Jets team that Gase won't be fired during or after this season. He said the decision was received very well by the players.

Gase's job security has been a topic of conversation throughout the season with New York struggling to a 2-7 record. After a loss to the previously winless Miami Dolphins in Week 9, Jets fans flew a "Fire Adam Gase" banner over the city.

In Gase's first year at the helm, New York has allowed the eighth-most points per game while only ranking ahead of the Dolphins and Washington Redskins in points scored per contest.

However, the Jets did bounce back in Week 10 by beating the rival New York Giants 34-27. Gase and Co. will now head to the nation's capital to face the Redskins in Week 11.
