J.J. Watt says he's out for season after suffering pectoral injury
The Houston Texans believe star defensive end J.J. Watt might have suffered a torn pectoral in Sunday's win over the Oakland Raiders, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Though Houston has yet to officially confirm the injury, Watt announced that he'll miss the remainder of the 2019 season via Twitter.
This game can be beautiful and it can also be brutal. Absolutely gutted that I won’t be able to finish the season with my guys and give the fans what they deserve. I truly love this game and can’t stand letting you guys down. Thank you for all of the thoughts & well-wishes.

The loss of the pass-rusher, who entered Week 8 second on the team in sacks (four) while leading the league in quarterback hits (20), would be a major blow to the playoff-hopeful Texans.
The pectoral injury is the 30-year-old's third season-ending ailment in four years.
He played in just eight combined games in the 2016 and 2017 campaigns due to back and leg injuries, respectively, before returning to suit up for all 16 contests in 2018.
Watt has led the NFL in sacks twice (2012 and 2015) and is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year (2012, 2014, and 2015). He also won the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award after his charitable work following Hurricane Harvey.
