Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan's status for the team's Week 8 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks is up in the air due to a sprained ankle, head coach Dan Quinn said, according to ESPN's Field Yates.
"We'll be preparing for both (him playing or not)," Quinn said. "If he can't, that's the reason (backup quarterback) Matt Schaub is here."
Ryan won't practice at the start of the week, but it's to be determined if he'll participate in practice later in the week, Yates adds.
The 34-year-old signal-caller exited Sunday's 37-10 loss to the Los Angeles Rams early during the fourth quarter and underwent an MRI on Monday.
Ryan hasn't missed a game since 2009, totaling 151 consecutive starts in that span.
