The Washington Redskins have placed tight end Jordan Reed on injured reserve, the team announced Saturday.
Reed has missed all five games this season after suffering what's believed to be the fifth documented concussion of his NFL career in the preseason.
The 29-year-old's extensive concussion history includes two documented concussions in college.
Reed reportedly could be forced to retire due to his latest concussion, but he apparently still hopes to continue his career.
