Chicago Bears linebacker Roquan Smith said Wednesday that the personal issue that forced him to miss last week's game is behind him.

The second-year pro added that he's excited to practice Wednesday and is looking forward to playing against the Oakland Raiders in London on Sunday.

Smith refused to go into detail about why he was downgraded to doubtful shortly before the win over the Minnesota Vikings.

"It's over with and it's behind me," he said, according to Adam Jahns of The Athletic. "I'm fine. You see me here."

Bears head coach Matt Nagy, who also previously opted not to answer any questions about Smith's status, said "we'll see" when asked about the linebacker suiting up in Week 5, according to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune.

Smith led the Bears in tackles as a rookie and is a key part of Chicago's top-ranked defense.
