Boyd: Bengals 'got embarrassed' by Steelers on MNF
The Cincinnati Bengals were blown out by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night, and receiver Tyler Boyd didn't mince his words postgame when discussing his team's performance.
"We got embarrassed," Boyd said, according to Ben Baby of ESPN. "Straight like that. It sucks."
The 27-3 loss pushed the Bengals to 0-4, likely cementing their place outside the playoffs for the fourth straight season.
Cincinnati took an early 3-0 lead but could then do nothing to stop Pittsburgh's offense, which scored 27 consecutive points to help the team earn its first win of the season.
Rookie head coach Zac Taylor was brought in to revitalize the Bengals' offense but only the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins have averaged fewer points than Cincinnati (14.2) after four weeks.
"Right now we don't have that winning feeling," Taylor said. "We've got to get that before we talk about anything else that goes on this season."
The Bengals are slated to face the also winless Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.
