New York Giants running back Wayne Gallman has been ruled out of the team's matchup with the Minnesota Vikings after sustaining a concussion in the first quarter.
Gallman rushed for 14 yards on two carries against Minnesota before suffering the concussion. He headed to the locker room shortly thereafter.
The Giants are now without their top two running backs for the remainder of the Week 5 tilt; All-Pro sophomore Saquon Barkley continues to recover from an ankle injury suffered in Week 3.
Thin at running back behind Gallman and Barkley, New York will look to undrafted rookie Jon Hilliman to handle backfield snaps. The Giants also have four-year veteran Elijhaa Penny available.
