Chiefs' Williams out Week 3, McCoy practices Friday
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid ruled out running back Damien Williams and left tackle Eric Fisher for the club's Week 3 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, according to team reporter BJ Kissel.
Williams hurt his knee in the Chiefs' Week 2 victory over the Oakland Raiders, while Fisher will undergo core muscle surgery. The club has yet to announce a timetable for his recovery.
Reid added that LeSean McCoy had "a great practice" Friday as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury.
Wide receiver Tyreek Hill will also miss Sunday's contest as he's expected to be out for at least two more games. Hill injured his collarbone in Week 1.
If McCoy is officially cleared for Week 3, he'll likely assume the majority of Kansas City's backfield duties with rookie Darwin Thompson spelling him for a handful of snaps.
Williams was still limping considerably Thursday, according to NFL Network's James Palmer, but the Chiefs haven't ruled him out for any games beyond this week.
