The Miami Dolphins have claimed defensive end and former Dallas Cowboys first-round pick Taco Charlton off waivers, the team announced.
Incidentally, the Dolphins square off against Charlton's old team in Week 3. It remains to be seen whether he'll be ready to suit up for Miami.
Charlton collected only four sacks in two seasons with the Cowboys. He was inactive for the first two games this year.
Dallas used the 28th overall pick in the 2017 draft on Charlton, who played collegiately at Michigan. The Cowboys waived him after failing to find a trade partner.
In a corresponding move, Miami waived offensive lineman Bryan Witzmann.
