Joe Mixon appears to have avoided a significant injury after exiting the Cincinnati Bengals' Week 1 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
Mixon is believed to have suffered an ankle sprain while attempting a tackle during the third quarter, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. He'll undergo tests to confirm the injury.
The 23-year-old was seen walking into the Bengals' locker room shortly after the play but joined his teammates on the sideline in the fourth quarter, according to Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
He rushed for 10 yards on six carries behind a Bengals offensive line that struggled against Seattle. He added two receptions for 7 yards.
