McVay: Gurley won't be limited in Week 1
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley will not be limited during Sunday's season-opening contest against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, head coach Sean McVay said Thursday, according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.
There has been much debate concerning Gurley's workload for this upcoming campaign after the 25-year-old struggled to stay on the field down the stretch last season due to an arthritic knee.
Gurley's status as a bell-cow back was brought further into question when the Rams selected Memphis running back Darrell Henderson in the third round of this year's draft.
Despite missing the last two regular-season games of the 2018 campaign with his knee issue, Gurley put up 1,831 yards from scrimmage and 21 total touchdowns before adding 165 yards and two touchdowns in three playoff contests.
