On Wednesday, San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch said No. 2 overall pick Nick Bosa is recovering well from an ankle sprain and has a chance to play in the regular-season opener.
"He really is healing at a really good rate and Week 1 is certainly in play," Lynch said on KNBR radio, according to Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle.
"I'm not going to say probable. Questionable. I'm not going to go there yet because we just aren't to that point yet. But he's kind of exceeding where we thought he could be, so it's definitely a possibility."
The pass-rusher has been out since early August and shed his walking boot on Aug. 14.
The Niners will open their season on Sept. 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
