Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was scratched from Thursday's preseason game versus the Baltimore Ravens because of back tightness.
The move is precautionary, according to Mike Spofford of the team's official site.
Rodgers was expected to play about a quarter of the game, along with most of the Packers' other offensive starters. His exhibition debut would've provided a glimpse of how the two-time MVP might function in first-year head coach Matt LaFleur's offense.
DeShone Kizer is second on the Packers' quarterback depth chart behind Rodgers.
