Garay signed with the Jets on Friday, Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com reports.
An ankle injury limited Garay to just eight games last season, but he had a couple decent years in San Diego. He put up 5.5 sacks in 2010. While it's hard to see Garay competing for a starting job, he'll at least provide depth along the defensive line.
