The Miami Dolphins signed defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche, a former first-round pick of the Arizona Cardinals, and placed him on the active/physically unable to perform list, the club announced.
Nkemdiche was cut by Arizona after showing up to training camp out of shape. The Ole Miss product was a disappointment in his three seasons with the Cardinals, though he did manage 4.5 sacks last year.
The 24-year-old is recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in December.
