The controversy surrounding last season's NFC Championship Game refuses to go away.
A Louisiana judge said Monday that NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and three officials from the infamous no-call playoff game will be questioned under oath in September, according to Kevin McGill of The Associated Press.
Attorney Antonio LeMon - who filed a lawsuit over the Jan. 20 game between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams - said he and the league will pick a mutually agreeable date for depositions in New Orleans.
LeMon said the $75,000 in damages he's seeking would be donated to former Saints star Steve Gleason's charity.
With New Orleans driving to potentially take the lead in the final minutes of the fourth quarter, Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman made contact with Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis well before the ball arrived.
But officials didn't call a penalty for pass interference, and the Saints and Rams both kicked field goals to send the game to overtime. Los Angeles ultimately won the contest to book a berth in the Super Bowl.
