Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul isn't expected to return until at least November, sources told ESPN's Jenna Laine.
Pierre-Paul suffered a fractured vertebra in an auto accident during May and decided to proceed with a non-surgical remedy. He was initially expected to miss the entire season once the fracture was discovered.
The Buccaneers placed the 30-year-old on the active/non-football injury list on Wednesday.
Pierre-Paul led the team with 12.5 sacks in 2018. Carl Nassib, Shaq Barrett, and Noah Spence will be responsible for filling the void in his absence.
