Titans' Lewan says he failed drug test, facing 4-game suspension
The NFL informed Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan that he tested positive for a banned supplement.
Lewan shared the news via a Twitter video in which he announced he'll be suspended four games.
The three-time Pro Bowler added that he passed a polygraph test to prove he did not knowingly take the supplement in question.
Lewan's A sample tested positive, but the results of his B sample are still unknown, a source informed ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The 28-year-old is an essential piece of the Titans' offense. He signed a five-year, $80-million extension last July, one that, at the time, made him the highest-paid offensive lineman in league history.
Lewan would forfeit $3.9 million in salary and a bonus due to the suspension, according to Spotrac.
