The New Orleans Saints offered receiver Michael Thomas a new deal that would average between $18 million and $19 million per year, sources told Yahoo's Charles Robinson.
Thomas, 26, is seeking a contract that would make him the first receiver to earn an average of $20 million per year, Robinson added.
He's currently entering the last season of his rookie contract, averaging $1.2 million over its duration.
Odell Beckham Jr. leads the receiver market, having signed a five-year, $90-million contract with the New York Giants. He earns an average annual salary of $18 million.
Thomas had a league-leading 125 catches last season with 1405 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.
