Oakland Raiders offensive guard Richie Incognito was handed a two-game suspension Friday for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, an NFL spokesperson said in a statement obtained by ESPN's Paul Gutierrez.

Incognito was involved in multiple off-field incidents last year. He did not play in 2018 after being released by the Buffalo Bills prior to the season.

The Raiders signed Incognito at the end of May aware that a suspension could be in the four-time Pro Bowler's future.

Incognito will miss games against the Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs. He'll be eligible to return Sept. 22 when the Raiders take on the Minnesota Vikings.
