Rob Gronkowski admits he's lost weight since retiring from the NFL, but not as much as those recent viral photos would lead you to believe.

The former New England Patriots tight end joined "The Rich Eisen Show" on Wednesday and was asked about the slimmed-down figure he debuted at the premiere of Julian Edelman's Showtime documentary last week.

"I'm actually down to 250 right now," Gronkowski said. "Yeah, that picture, I know, everybody's sending to me. They're like, 'Yo, you look like you're like 200 lbs.' I don't know, it must've been the angle or the shirt that was on me 'cause I ain't that skinny that the picture that's going around (shows). But I have definitely lost some weight. I've been 260 since I was 18 years old, from 260 to like 270, so I just always wanted to see what it feels like just to get down, just to feel light, feel loose, and just feel clear."

Gronkowski also reiterated that he's happy with his decision to retire.

"I feel really good right now and it was just definitely something I thought was the right timing and right thing to do," he said. "Weight-wise and everything, it feels good just to have that load off your back. I mean, I've been playing football for 15 years straight in a row of that grind. So, just relaxing right now, feels good."
