The Carolina Panthers continued adding to their receiving corps on Friday, signing former New England Patriots receiver Chris Hogan to a one-year deal.

The Panthers began the offseason by re-signing wideout Torrey Smith and last week added former AAF standout Rashad Ross to the mix. They'll compete with DJ Moore, Curtis Samuel, Jarius Wright, and others for snaps and roster spots.

Hogan spent his first four NFL seasons with the Buffalo Bills but came to prominence during a three-year stint with the Patriots, which included three consecutive trips to the Super Bowl. However, he did not record a reception in Super Bowl LIII in February.

Hogan's career highs of 38 catches and 680 yards were attained in 2016. He topped out at five touchdowns in 2017.
