The New York Giants are reportedly indifferent about Dwayne Haskins, but it appears that hasn't stopped the NFC East team from doing its homework on the Ohio State quarterback.

A contingent from the Giants organization that included head coach Pat Shurmur and offensive coordinator Mike Shula had dinner with Haskins on Tuesday night, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Haskins is widely regarded as one of the two top pivots in the draft alongside Kyler Murray.

New York, which holds the sixth overall pick in this year's draft, is expected to be "out in force" for the Buckeyes' Pro Day on Wednesday, adds Garafolo.

Giants general manager Dave Gettleman continued to throw his weight behind Eli Manning this week, saying that keeping the 38-year-old for 2019 "really wasn't a hard decision to make."

After passing on signal-callers like Sam Darnold at No. 2 overall last year in favor of running back Saquon Barkley, the Giants are facing pressure to land a franchise quarterback.
