The Green Bay Packers will agree to terms with former Chicago Bears safety Adrian Amos once the NFL's free-agency period begins, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The signing, which can't be made official until Wednesday, continues Green Bay's busy day of adding to its defense, as the team is also expected to sign pass-rusher Za'Darius Smith.

The 25-year-old Amos will bolster a Packers pass defense that already features youngsters Jaire Alexander, Josh Jackson, and Kevin King.

The defensive back was the Bears' fifth-round pick in 2015, and he's equally adept in pass coverage and run defense. He recorded two interceptions, one sack, one fumble recovery, and nine passes defensed in 2018.
