The Los Angeles Chargers are working on reaching a deal to retain linebacker Denzel Perryman before he hits free agency, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Perryman played in nine games in 2018, registering 51 tackles and an interception before sustaining a season-ending LCL injury on Nov. 11. He was given a three-to-four-month recovery timeline.
Free agency opens on March 13.
