The Minnesota Vikings were among the most disappointing teams in 2018, but Stefon Diggs anticipates significant improvements moving forward.

Minnesota was billed as a popular Super Bowl candidate prior to the campaign, but the team sputtered to an 8-7-1 record and missed the playoffs. Diggs believes the Vikings will ultimately benefit from continuity and hinted at an improved rapport with quarterback Kirk Cousins.

"First year. New system, new quarterback, new receivers. Everybody’s new. Still got to adjust, and you know there’s a lot of room for improvement," Diggs said, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.

"We’ve had a lot of sparks. We had some good games. Some things that you saw that we could be really special. And doing it on a consistent basis is something that’s going to come with time. You can’t look forward to time. It’s not working against us, it’s working with us."

It would be difficult to blame Diggs for the Vikings' underwhelming season as he finished with 102 receptions for 1,021 yards and nine touchdowns. Expectations will remain high, however, and Diggs will be counted on to play a leadership role as the team looks to make a deep run in the postseason next year.
