Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have taken some time out of their busy schedules to support some former New England Patriots' bids to be enshrined in football lore.

Even while preparations for Super Bowl LIII continue, the two Patriots legends have written letters of support for Hall of Fame finalists Ty Law and Richard Seymour to the Pro Football Hall of Fame selection committee, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.

"Looking back, I realize how lucky I was then to be challenged every day by one of the greatest cornerbacks to ever play the game. It helped me work harder to become successful in this league and ultimately prepared me to become the player I am today," Brady wrote of Law.

Law was a two-time first-team All-Pro and five-time Pro Bowler. Seymour, a defensive lineman, was named an All-Pro three times and reached the Pro Bowl seven times during his 12-year career.

"Richard Seymour and Vince Wilfork are the two best defensive linemen I have coached," Belichick wrote of Seymour. "Richard had a rare combination of size, speed, strength, and athleticism. He was a smart player who understood game plans and adjustments on the field. His length, strength, and quickness allowed him to match up on any offensive lineman favorably."

Law, a Patriots cornerback from 1995-2004, is a finalist for the third consecutive year. This is Seymour's first time among the final 15 modern-era candidates.

The 2019 Hall of Fame class will be announced Saturday.
