Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner returned to practice Friday as a limited participant and is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's Week 15 matchup against the New England Patriots.
Conner suffered an ankle injury in Week 13 versus the Los Angeles Chargers that sidelined him in Week 14 against the Oakland Raiders.
Earlier this week, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said Conner could potentially play against the Patriots.
The 23-year-old Conner has 909 rushing yards, 467 receiving yards, and 13 total touchdowns this season.
If he can't suit up on Sunday, running backs Jaylen Samuels and Stevan Ridley will likely be given backfield responsibilities.
