A song recorded by former New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett following the team's Super Bowl LI victory hit the internet on Wednesday.
As Bennett explained, he recorded "Trophies" with friends Keith Jacobs and Franchise Tief right after the game in 2017, but never released it.
The 31-year-old said he planned to ask Patriots owner Robert Kraft if he could perform it at the team's ring ceremony, "but I switched teams and felt it was a little weird."
Bennett announced his retirement from the NFL in March after 10 seasons.
