The New Orleans Saints have released receiver Brandon Marshall, a source told ESPN's Field Yates.
Marshall joined the Saints in mid-November after recently-signed Dez Bryant tore his Achilles in practice.
The 34-year-old played six games for the Seattle Seahawks to start the season, accumulating 136 yards on 11 receptions. He didn't play a snap for New Orleans.
The Saints also claimed former Indianapolis Colts tight end Erik Swoope on waivers Wednesday, a source told ProFootballTalk.
