New York Giants safety Landon Collins will be placed on injured reserve after suffering a shoulder injury against the Chicago Bears in Week 13, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

The 24-year-old suffered a torn labrum and will undergo season-ending surgery, sources told Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.

Collins missed snaps during the Giants' 30-27 overtime victory over Chicago on Sunday, but he was able to finish the game.

The two-time Pro Bowler has recorded 96 combined tackles, one forced fumble, and five tackles for a loss this season.

Safeties Michael Thomas and Sean Chandler should see increased playing time in Collins' absence.
