Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt will interview for Georgia Tech's head coaching vacancy, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Georgia Tech is reportedly looking for someone with NFL experience, according to Schefter.
Whisenhunt has served as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals (2007-12) and Tennessee Titans (2014-15) and has worked as a tight ends coach and offensive coordinator for several teams.
The veteran coordinator played for Georgia Tech from 1981-84 as a tight end before spending eight seasons in the NFL.
Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson announced Wednesday that he's stepping down from the program after 11 seasons.
